It is a beautiful, but somewhat expensive (because of the tulip prices) centerpiece. Next year I will try and plan ahead to get a real pussy-willow handle. If you are interested in he details of the project please post below and I will post the step by step process f creating an Easter Tulip Basket.

This project requires:
- "wet" floral foam (which must be soaked for 24 hour in advance)
- 5 bunches of tulips or roses
- floral sticks with wire wraps (I don't know th proper name for these but they are in the floral arranging isle of Michael's)
- A small clay pot
- Floral Wire
- 4 faux pussy-willow branches
After the foam has soaked for 24 hours, cut it and lace it in the clay pot. The foam should be about 1/4 inch below the pot top. Trim the bottom of the pussy-willow, stick 2 branches in each side of the foam. Wire the 2 branches together to make them stronger. Join the branches together at the top with floral wire, creating the handle.
After the handle is secure and in place, begin placing in the tulips. Trim the tulips accordingly (aprox 3 inch stems), wrap with floral wire/stick. Push into floral foam, repeat process until the pot is full.
